Dental Implants
Dental implants in South Yorkshire – a lifelong solution to missing teeth that boosts confidence and quality of life.
Replace your missing teeth and enjoy a beautiful, healthy smile for life with Tickhill Dental & Implant Centre. Considering dental implants in South Yorkshire? Dental implants can be life-changing, and are often the best treatment for missing teeth or a broken tooth. When carried out by an experienced implant dentist, dental implants provide a lifelong solution that looks and feels just like your natural teeth. Because you can eat, speak, laugh and smile just as you would with healthy natural teeth, dental implants are proven to improve quality of life and boost confidence – plus, in supporting your jawbone, they also prevent the ageing effects of facial sagging, which happens when teeth are missing. At Tickhill Dental & Implant Centre we offer dental implants to replace single teeth, multiple teeth and even all your teeth with an implant-retained denture.
Dental implants are small titanium plugs made to mimic the tooth root. When implanted into the jawbone, a dental implant will fuse with your natural bone, creating a strong foundation for a new, custom-made prosthetic tooth. Dental implants are used for replacing missing teeth, or for when tooth removal has become necessary.
At Tickhill Dental, we strive to provide the best dental implant treatment in the South Yorkshire area. We offer what we believe to be the best dental implant prices on single and multi-tooth procedures and denture stability, and will consult with you to determine which treatment will be most beneficial to you.
The dental implant team at Tickhill Dental & Implant Centre values each and every one of our patients, and our promise to you is: top patient care and quality; lasting dental implants.
Who can get dental implants?
Anyone is a candidate for dental implants, as long as your jawbone is strong and healthy enough for the implant procedure. You can speak with our team about your dental implant options, and see if a dental implant is right for you. If you are not dentally fit enough for dental implants, your dentist will talk you through the options available for getting your teeth, gums and jawbone into peak condition.
Does getting a dental implant hurt?
No. Prior to receiving your dental implant, you will be most likely placed under local anaesthesia, so you should not feel any pain. After the surgery, you may feel some discomfort or swelling, but typically over-the-counter painkillers are sufficient. Many patients are surprised at how quickly they recover from dental implant surgery.
How long does the dental implant procedure take?
The length of the procedure depends on numerous factors, including whether you are receiving a single or multi-tooth implant. Procedures can take as little as 30 minutes, or over an hour, depending on the location and number of implants placed. The entire dental implant process, from surgery through to the final restoration, can however take a few months to complete. Once your implants have been placed, you will need to wait around 6-10 weeks for your jawbone to fuse with the implant; this is called osseointegration. Only when this has completed can the dentist add your new, permanent tooth.
How long will my dental implant last?
Implants can last years, or even a lifetime, if cared for properly, which includes at-home care and regular dental follow-ups, with both your dentist and your hygienist. Well-maintained implants have been documented to last for 40+ years in some cases.
Your smile is something that will be with you for your entire life, and gaps in your teeth can greatly affect your quality of life, including your overall nutrition and ability to chew properly. At Tickhill Dental, our experienced implant dentist will work with you to answer any questions you may have, and determine the best dental implant option for you.
Missing teeth or broken teeth can negatively impact your bone health, and may even change the shape of your face. With dental implants from Tickhill Dental, you can rest assured that you are receiving fantastic implant quality, implant dentistry skill and knowledge, and patient care that won’t end with your surgery, but which continues for life.
